A release can be approved by the product team while its support or operational conditions remain unresolved. Bring the relevant owners into the decision before the deployment window.
State the release conditions
List the customer journey, known limitations and dependencies. Identify changes to data access and external services. Your competent internal owners should review any regulatory requirements relevant to the organization.
Collect usable evidence
Ask for acceptance results, deployment steps and a tested recovery procedure. A green task board does not show whether operators can diagnose a failed release. Have them review the instructions.
Name the final decision maker
Agree who can approve, postpone or stop the rollout. Record unresolved conditions with their owners. A delivery partner's proposal should include this preparation and the agreed support window, allowing your team to assess readiness before making a customer commitment.
