An agent can search several internal sources. Its task should end with verifiable information or a clearly incomplete result.
Bound the research
Specify authorized repositories and the relevant period. Keep the user's access controls across all sources. Retrieved instructions remain content rather than authority.
Review evidence
Claims need appropriate references. Contradictory documents should be shown, with their version context. An unavailable source must not be represented as inspected.
Test an unresolved question
Provide a case with no supported answer. Ask the partner for the handoff to a knowledgeable owner. Count correct abstentions and missing references alongside useful answers. A longer research run is not inherently better if it increases speculation or searches outside the permitted scope.
